The Bureau of Customs (BoC) Port of Limay once again demonstrated its efficiency by surpassing its monthly collection target for August 2023. The port collected a total of ₱12.63 billion, exceeding the set target of ₱11.75 billion by ₱884.58 million, a 7.53% increase.
According to BoC Port of Limay Acting District Collector Atty. Kriden Balgomera, this remarkable achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication of the Port’s Assessment, Operations, Administrative Division, and Support Offices.
In previous months, the Port of Limay consistently met and exceeded its targets. In February 2023, the port collected ₱9.26 billion, surpassing the target of ₱8.45 billion by 9.64%. Additionally, the port recorded a cumulative surplus of ₱35.9 billion over 21 consecutive months from June 2021 to February 2023, marking a record-breaking collection streak for the Port of Limay.
The continued success of the Port of Limay highlights its capability and diligence in tax collection and other related duties, further strengthening the nation’s economy.
